Finally

By the next afternoon, the long, tiresome and excruciating rescue mission had come to a close. There they were: a group of wildlife officers, local volunteers, a huge machine, and a herd of elephants all gathered happily to finally see the baby elephant take its first steps outside of the pit where it had been trapped for more than two days.
