Today’s Image of the Day comes thanks to the European Space Agency (ESA) and features a look at the Nordenskiold Glacier in Greenland.

The red parts of the image are vegetation, while the swirls of light blue are sediment particles from the ice rubbing against rock, also known as “glacier milk.”

This image was captured by the Copernicus Sentinel-2A satellite on August 8, 2017.
