Today’s Image of the Day comes from the NASA Earth Observatory and features a look at the aftermath of wildfires in Santa Rosa, California.

Since October 8, wildfires have devastated the region, killing at least 29 people and engulfing over 265 square miles of land.

According to CalFire, at least 3,500 homes and businesses have been destroyed.

This image was captured by the Operational Land Imager (OLI) on board the Landsat 8 satellite.
