Cropp River New Zealand is a river flows east for 9 km before it joins with the Whitcombe River. Rainfall over the body of water averages 11,516 mm a year. On 12–13 December 1995, 1,049 millimeters (41.3 in) of rain fell over the Cropp River, at the time that was a record rainfall for a 48-hour period for New Zealand.
