Australia’s Great Barrier Reef from is seen here from the space station in Today’s Image of the Day. The photo was taken by an astronaut onboard the International Space Station. Coral reefs are relatively easy to see from space because the clear, light blues of shallow waters greatly contrast from the dark blues of deep water areas.
